When I got Sunshine it was August 2012 and she is a teddy bear Syrian hamster. When I got her it was just after I got $100 for my report card from my dad. With the money I bought her, I picked her out of a group of female Syrian hamsters because she was neither aggressive nor timid. Sunshine had a very calm nature. I got her from Petco in Bangor. I got Nugget and Midnight from Pet Pro. In Petco I always got a carrying cage after I got Sunshine.

When I got Sunshine home she and I did not click like I did with Nugget. I slowly hand tamed her by feeding her treats through the bars of the cage. Slowly and gradually she learned to trust me. Sunshine did not mind being weighed. I weighed her on a food scale, which she did not mind, unlike Nugget. Sunshine was the kind of hamster that had no real favorites when it came to food. I also tried to teach her to stay, but she more often than not would not do it. So she wasn’t very trust worthy. One incident that I had with her when she was free roaming around my room was that she got trapped under a bookshelf. When I found her by moving it I accidently hurt her leg, and taught me to be more careful with her and to always keep an eye on her. Another incident that I had that woke me from a dead sleep, where I was having a dream that Sunshine was escaping from her cage to find that she had! She had bent the wires on top of the cage and escaped. I looked for her and finally found her. I felt scared when I was looking for her, and relief when I found her. I scolded her by say, “Sunshine don’t ever do that again to me!”

Part 2

This blog is about a typical afternoon. Period 5 I have military history where we either watch TV or work on book work. I feel that overall I like Sank so I am willing to put up with what he does to us because a few that have not turned in their homework. Period 6 I have math with Mr. Mennett  and it is about average but it can be really had when he decides to go fast making it hard to keep up. He assigns a lot of homework. Period 7 and 8 I have art. Yippy. I love art because I get to be creative and I get to relax. I have made a George Washington poster that represents my thoughts on what would happen if Andy Warhol met George Washington. My art teacher Mrs. Bertrand inspires me because she is there when I need her, she is very honest and knows how to fix things when you mess up. After class I meet you with Jody in the library, where we chat about my day, make a plan for our time together, which writing this blog has been screwing up lately. My priorities are that we do school work first fun stuff second! At the end of our time together about 4:30 we head for home. Once we are home I unload all my gear, grab my pjs and hop in the shower. After my shower I have supper. My parents always have something tasty cooking when I walk through the door. By 5; 30 Jody leaves and I do the dishes, do my evening hygiene, and head upstairs to read. Between 7 and 9 I go to sleep. Before I go to sleep I think about my long day and about books I have read. Lately it is Sherlock Holmes. I ponder the cases I have read about and the ones I am currently reading about, trying to solve them in my mind.

Part 1

I have decided to blog about a typical day of mine. At six am I get up, shut off my alarm, get dressed, and put on some deodorant. Next I eat my fiber bar and crackers, take my meds, and brush my teeth. I let Wiggies out to do her business. Once I get all that done, I watch the news I let Wiggs in and I out on my outer wear. At ^:45 I go outside to wait for the bus, I listen to the spring songs of the birds, check the mail and I wonder about my day. At 6:50 I get on the bus, say hello to Gail and read on the bus. At 7:40 I get to school, I say good morning to those I know, check in with Mrs. Bowden after stopping at my locker. Then I go to Mrs. Morrison’s to drop off my stuff, then to the library to pick up my laptop. At 8; 04 class starts and I head to Mrs. Morrison’s, as of lately we write our Blogs. Which I feel is pointless, although since it is English I will do it, but it pretty disagreeable to me.

Period two, I head to Mrs. Townsend to work on my math homework. I really do like Mrs. Townsend because she explains things a whole lot clearer than Mr. Mennet does. At break I normally get something to eat, lately it has been a muffin. I don’t have a favorite kind, I like them all. Period three I head to Mrs. Bowdens to work, and lately it is on nutriction. This was nothing I expected when I signed up for it, but I get to go shopping, and do some cooking. The things that we do in that class all have to do with life skills. Period four is study hall and I work on missalanous work. Next is lunch, I really like their BBQ rib sandwiches. I head to Sank’s to eat my lunch and we talk about a wide range of topics from politics to the most recent news.
